IMDC and GSR receive excellent paper award at the 22nd World Dredging Conference in Shanghai
The award-winning paper developed by IMDC in collaboration with DEME-GSR Environmental and Technical Team describes detailed simulations of the dispersion of sediments during the collection of polymetallic nodules in the deep sea. The simulations lead to more accurate predictions of turbidity dispersion, allowing optimisation of mining operations for the reduction of environmental impacts.
